The path of the medicine woman is to see - with eyes wide open, and to transmute. Sometimes this is done with herbs, sometimes with dance, sometimes with dreams and sometimes with energy. All medicine women have their own energetic imprint, which is magically fluent and transforms those around them.
When we say to “remember who you truly are”, we mean that those who are called to this path already have the imprint. We just simply need to remember to start unlocking all of the magic within us. With learning and practice, you can do just that!

The offering to you is a 13 moon (full year) immersion in Priestess training with a focus on Medicine Woman archetypes. In this training, you will work closely with Jen (Nami) Padgett, other guest teachers and other women.

If triggered by the work, or another woman in the group, do the internal work necessary to move through it, without causing harm to the rest of the group.

Pay as agreed. If a payment plan is approved, pay on time on your own each month

Serve as assistant to the temple for one month (basic duties may include arriving early to open temple/close temple during in person gatherings, help plan food & any other accommodations for the group and bring any unique offerings you may have to share)

Rev. Priestess Jen Nami Padgett
Jen (Nami) is a mother to many and lives off grid in the Santa Cruz Mountains in a yurt. She is an ordained Priestess with lineage to Her Holy Temple, an herbalist and an energy worker. She founded Aum Herbs in 2019 and is co-creator of HeartSong Sanctuary. Prior to that, she worked in non-profits for 20 years.
HeartSong is a non-denominational collective, with a mission to create safe, healing sanctuary spaces for all while honoring individual sovereignty. The vision is to provide transformative experiences that nourish the soul and foster deep connections with the sacred.
Nami’s favorite thing to do is to teach and to gather for ceremonial work, allowing each of us to remember who we truly are!

Medicine Women Cohort ~ September 2026 - September 2027
I am Interviewing now for initiates. A deposit will hold your spot. This cohort will be limited to 10 women max (it may be less if it feels right to close the group before reaching 10).
Where: Most gatherings will be at one of the HeartSong Locations: a private 20 acre property in the Santa Cruz Mountains. (The property is located between Los Gatos & Boulder Creek in a remote location - expect at least a 30 minute drive from either town)
Each gathering will have a component of relaxing the nervous system so that we may be open to embracing ourselves, each other & any magic that may come our way. We will create an alchemical container that is only for us - a solid foundation for which we can discover who we truly are - and the special magic that exists with us, and the gifts we have to offer the world. We will work with archetypal energy each month to help draw out these gifts and to do the shadow work necessary that allows us to fully embrace the Priestess Path.
As this is a mystery school, there may be components that shift over the course of the year that we are together. Each Month will have one in-person gathering and one Zoom call, except for December and July, where we will meet online only. In October (2026), April and September (2027) We will gather in person for the entire weekend. A communication tool that maintains privacy & resonates with most will be decided by the group on our first call.
Priestess Training is a big commitment, and the expectation is that you make it to all of the meetings, ceremonies and weekend retreats. Please check your calendar and save the dates now to minimize any conflicts. If you are unable to make a date, you should discuss this with Nami in your initial interview to determine if we can work around it, or as soon as you know. This training is fast paced at times, so missing any of it is discouraged. If something is missed, assignments or make-up work will need to be completed.

Letter from Reverend Priestess Jen Nami Padgett, Principle teacher
Dear Initiate,
All feminine archetypes have a component of “medicine”. The Medicine woman is its own archetype. But she also exists in the Wise Woman, the Priestess, the Mystic, The Dancer, The Goddess of Compassion & Gaea, among others.
As an herbalist, I’m interested in natural healing, and that had led me early down the path first of using herbs much like we do in Western Medicine. Treat the symptom with an herb that makes sense. As I was in my learning phase (and also trying to resolve auto immune conditions within myself) I found that some herbs were helpful, some weren’t and some threw me out of balance. As I was making tincture after tincture and trying them myself - and surrounding myself with hundreds of herbs, it all became too much for my sensitive system riddled with auto immune - and also, as I now suspect: a very sensitive energetic body.
Since I was a child I’ve understood energy impacts us, but it wasn’t until I started on the Priestessing path that I began to consider a much larger picture of just the kind of medicine we all need access to if we are to fully heal. We live a dynamic life, and the world is in turmoil at the moment. We have to be prepared to always be in the process of healing, or instituting processes that keep us and the immediate worlds around us in balance.
In our emotional beings - we are oftentimes out of balance (as a society). We’ve moved away from taking care of each other to being very self preservant. Probably because we thought that was necessary, due to all of the propaganda that has been sold to us for who knows how long? Certainly for as long as I’ve been alive. But it is a combination of the physical and the metaphysical, the things we can see right before our eyes, and those that seem to be hidden, the physical plain we can ground our feet into and the ethers that really will sustain and preserve us. It's all of those things we chose not to or do not know how to see, feel, or experience that needs to be unlocked.
Once magic is experienced without the dullness our daily lives place upon it, it’s hard to turn back and not want to do that again. And once you have been opened up - even a little, you see the wonderful experience we can have as humans on this planet. For me, that means that I want others to experience this, and so it has become my life’s work to help shine a light on the path for others to follow…in their own sovereign and unique way.
I’m so grateful for those in the millennia before me that have chosen to pass on knowledge from temple keeper to temple keeper, especially in times of persecution. We all come from indigenous people. Go back in your lineage far enough and you will find it. Everyone’s ancestors at some point gathered around fires and practiced rituals that honored the earth and themselves. And every community had a medicine woman (or man). If your ancestry chose to deny their roots and not pass that information on it was most certainly for safety reasons. Power and control of the masses necessitated cutting us off from that which made us powerful. We were cut off from something that is at the core of humanity: Magic. Alchemy. Caring for and honoring our ancestry and lineages and the gifts that existed within them.
We are on this weird precipice where in some ways it feels like a very unsafe time…but it is actually becoming safer than ever to rediscover and remember who you are AND heal within yourself. As we awaken this ancient wisdom and apply it in the modern world, we have the opportunity to relearn the medicine and pass this along to others. This awakening is needed now more than ever.
